The Smith & Wesson Model 638 "Bodyguard" is a aluminum alloy framed double-action revolver built on Smith & Wesson's popular J-frame. It features an unusual (barely exposed) "shrouded" hammer which allows for single action fire with manual cocking, while still providing a rounded snag-proof design for easy draw from concealment.
