A Federal Firearms License (FFL) is required for anyone engaged in the business of selling and/or manufacturing firearms.
An FFL holder with a Massachusetts state dealer's license is also able to avoid certain potential liabilities caused by some unfortunate state laws, as well as differing interpretations of those laws.
Click on the "Sign Up" button below enroll in the class. I will be available for questions afterwards. Payment will be through PayPal (My business name is MassReloading). If you don't have a PayPal account (or wish to use a different payment method), click the "Check Out" button on the next page after clicking the button.
This online class explains the benefits of getting an FFL, outlines the licensing process, and acts as a step-by-step guide to getting the necessary federal, state, and local licenses, permits, and other items you will need if you wish to do business selling and/or manufacturing firearms in Massachusetts.
Handout material is downloadable from our resource page, which also contains all relevant FFL material assembled in electronic form.
While this class will be useful for anyone wishing to obtain an FFL, much of it will focus on the requirements for doing business in Massachusetts.
Please note: A follow-up class entitled "How to Operate as an FFL" is in the works. Stay tuned.
